I used Teams app video meeting with no problems until last week. Now when in the meeting the computer locks up shortly after joining the meeting.

This occurred even with the camera off. I have experienced this almost daily when on Teams call. Has happened for about a year, from early until now.

It is very frustrating. In my situation, literally my monitors go black as if they have lost communication with the desktop machine; however, the machine is still turned on.

The only way I have found to resolve it is to hold the power button for 10 seconds until it shuts the machine down and then reboot. Choose where you want to search below Search Search the Community. I reread your post and see that you mentioned uninstalling the drivers, just to confirm did you uninstall the device completely, such as clicking on the below highlighted option: So you want it so there is nothing listed, then reboot and it should pick up again based on the latest drivers you have.
